Brief
This project was given to us by the University in the first year of the Architecture course. This is a project where we could explore our creativity. The task was to design an artist residence located in the Dubai Design District for any artist of choice, living or dead. I chose Rob Hill a graffiti artist whom I had been following on social media as the choice of artist. I got in touch with him through Facebook to know more about him and to get to know his preferences if I were to design a dream house for him.

Challenges
An artist is a person with exceptionally innovative and creative skills. His mindset, his thought process is all influenced by the surroundings he lives in. So to create an ideal environment that was visually stimulating but also gives a sense of calming effect when he gets too overwhelmed
Goals
To include almost all the features he mentioned in the conversation I had with him in his ideal apartment. To have lots of open spaces since there will be lots of fumes and toxic air from the spray paints he uses to make his art
